Aquacel Ag Extra Hydrofiber Dressings

Aquacel® AG Extra™ is an advanced wound care dressing composed of Hydrofiber® Technology combined with ionic silver, providing enhanced antimicrobial protection. Designed to manage moderate to high exuding wounds, Aquacel AG Extra is nine times stronger and 50% more absorbent than standard Aquacel AG dressings.

The unique Hydrofiber® Technology in Aquacel AG Extra transforms into a cohesive gel upon contact with wound exudate, promoting a moist wound healing environment while effectively reducing the risk of infection. The dressing contours closely to the wound bed, minimizing dead space where bacteria can thrive, and helps in eliminating biofilm, making it an ideal choice for managing chronic and acute wounds.

Indications:

• Leg ulcers (venous stasis ulcers, arterial ulcers, mixed etiology ulcers)
• Diabetic foot ulcers
• Pressure ulcers/injuries
• Surgical wounds
• Traumatic wounds
• Partial-thickness burns

Usage Instructions:

1. Clean the wound area thoroughly.
2. Apply Aquacel AG Extra dressing, ensuring it overlaps the wound edges by at least 1cm.
3. Secure with an appropriate secondary dressing such as a foam or absorbent pad.
4. The dressing can be left in place for up to 7 days, depending on the level of exudate.
